About
The WHO. – I am YOU.
That’s me. I’m mean… GRRR!!!
A little background info:
There are some things that have been a part of my life for as a long as I can remember. Chocolate is one of those things. Health and fitness is another. From a competitive cyclist at age 8, a varsity badminton player at 13, a junior national basketball player at 16, a personal trainer at 21, to a Bachelors degree in Psychology at age 26. In short, health and fitness is my life.
Becoming a personal trainer is one of the most rewarding things I’ve done with my life. I’ve done really well as a trainer because I think I’m able to connect with people on different levels. I know how it feels to be underweight as well as overweight. I was severely underweight growing up and it was struggle for me to gain muscle. Then I moved to Canada. I worked hard at getting bigger; so hard in fact that I gained 50 pounds in ONE YEAR! But I went overboard with the weight gain. From 2002 to 2003 I went from 120 lbs to 190 lbs. For the first time in my life, I was overweight. I met with a consultant and was told that I needed to lose at least 30 lbs. That experience ended up being valuable to me because I can really relate to my clients. I know all about the cravings, the lack of motivation, the laziness, the highs and the lows. When I tell my clients, “I know how you feel”, I really mean it. My motivation to lose those 30 pounds was that I wanted to be a personal trainer so I can help those who were in my shoes. I knew that no client would take me seriously as a trainer if I was overweight and out of shape. I needed to “look” the part.
I’ve been a certified trainer for 5 years, but my knowledge and experience goes way beyond that. As an athlete, I know all about injuries, training, motivation, and hard work. I studied kinesiology (the study of human movement) for 3 years before graduating in psychology. I specialize in weight loss motivation. Having the psychology background is powerful tool for me because I have a good understanding the mental processes behind action and motivation. Clients usually come with a lot of personal baggage. Many times, those personal issues end up being the main reason they weren’t able to remain on track with their fitness goals. Luckily, I have the formal training to help people overcome those issues.
Personal training is my passion. I can (and sometimes do) talk about fitness all day long. Because of my own experience with weight loss, my clients and I quickly form a bond. I know when to push and when to ease up. I have a knack for knowing who needs a drill-sergeant-type trainer and who just needs some encouragement and positive reinforcement.
Armed with my life experiences and educational background, I’ve helped 231 clients lose over 3451lbs combined. I keep very detailed records of each client (that’s the nerd in me).
I created Kamaral.com because I realized that I have a gift. Some people are artists, some people know how to make money, I know how to make people get in shape. I’m not good at a lot of things, but I’m very good at training. In fact, helping people get in shape is easy for me. Once you’ve been doing it for as long as I have, you realize that there is formula to success. Once you learn the formula and apply it, your success if guaranteed. It doesn’t matter how stubborn you think your body is, if you follow my advice, it is an absolute certainty that you will reach your goal.
The best part: I am giving you the formula for free. It’s all on Kamaral.com. You just need to read.
Kamaral.com is for the person who can’t afford to pay $100 an hour for a personal trainer. It’s for the person who can’t afford a $75/month gym membership. Kamaral.com is for everyone because everyone deserves the chance to be fit and healthy no matter what their income level may be. Health is not a luxury, it’s a RIGHT.
I hope you enjoy my blog. If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask.
