If your goal is to lose love handles, build muscle or get a flat stomach, it is important to remember that every journey starts with one step. Every goal that you have and will accomplish in life didn’t happen over night, it was a series of little steps. You should be looking at your goal to lose weight in the same way. Everyday is a chance for you to take one small step closer to your goal of losing that belly fat, or getting the toned body you’ve always dreamed of.
Remember that this is a marathon, it’s not a sprint. If you’re looking for a quick fix, you will spend months and years looking for it – months and years you could have been doing things the right way.
I have huge goals for Kamaral.com. I want this website to be an authority on the internet when it comes to health and fitness. I want to attract thousands of visitors a day and hopefully generate a sustainable income from it. I’d like to be able to stay home so I can be there for my son’s milestones in life – when he crawls, when he walks, when he speaks for the first time. I don’t want to hear that I should have been there, I want to be there – just like I was for his birth and his feeding and his first bath.
I want to be there and not have to worry about paying the bills.
So everyday, I take one step. I don’t have thousands of visitors a day, or even hundreds. But everyday I take one step. I write an article one day, do some research the next day, send emails on Sundays, read articles on Monday – small steps.
I make sacrifices too. I’m up at 5.30am some days and I train my clients until lunch. Then I come home, get a quick bite, then I sit on this computer for about 3 hours. Then I go back to the gym, and I train clients again for another 4 hours. Then I come home again, and I sit here for another 3-4 hours. This is my life for the last few months and it can get hard sometimes. But when I feel like being lazy, I think of my son and my fiance. I think of the kind of life I want for us and all the good things that can come from it, and I get back to work. I think about my goal, and I keep doing, with little steps.
We all have goals, and we all want them now. But we know that we have to work for it. If your goal is to finally get rid of those love handles, then start today, with one step. You’ll have to make sacrifices – that piece of dessert that you love, the fries, the great food. But think about your body right now. Do you like the way it looks? Are you happy with those love handles? Are you happy after you eat junk? How do you feel when you see clothes that you want to where but you know it won’t look good on you? When you want to give in to temptation, think about those jeans that you want to wear again.
Now I’m not saying that you should NEVER treat yourself. I’m saying you should treat yourself when you really earn it. When you really put the work in at the gym, or you ate really well for 2 weeks in a row. Create an environment of discipline in your mind. You can do this. You can lose that belly fat, you can tone those arms and legs, you can have a flat stomach. You can do it. You just have to be in the right state of mind.
Every great accomplishment starts with one step. Everyday is a chance for you to take one step forward.
Take ONE step today.
Take the stairs today. Pass on the fries tomorrow. Get a salad instead of the baked potato on Sunday. -These are all small steps that add up along the way. This is how you do it! If you can’t exercise for your full hour, you will still benefit from 30 minutes. Remember that this is a marathon, it is NOT a sprint!
I didn’t take you 4 weeks to get those love handles. It didn’t take you 6 months to get that gut. It took you years! So don’t expect to have a perfect body in 4 weeks. It wasn’t ONE bad meal that gave you that belly fat, it was hundreds of bad meals. Each meal added to your weight. Now, you can reverse this and start eating good meals, one at a time. You gained fat over time and you will lose it over time.
ONE STEP. TAKE ONE STEP TODAY.

An absolute truth! Its not limited to your fitness, but for all of your goals you want to achieve and still looking for a better chance to start. Thanks for such motivated and encouraging post. You have set your mind, and following a very good technique to stay stand while you feel fed up. thumbs up!
Very true, this is a marathon and not a sprint. I always look at it as being a lifestyle change not just a diet. Thanks for this uplifting article, very nice read. BTW, I thought my life was busy until hearing about your typical day, good luck with that.
stop eating fatting foods. try a salad, 4,500 calories a day is way too much even for a groing teen try sticking to 2, 000 calories a day and lots of water.what do you think?
Your first step itself has the key to your success. So, stop thinking for some good day to start your fitness schedule. And take your step by doing some exercise and cutting your junk food. Stay healthy!
